What is OWL?
OWL is a non-profit group offering outdoor events and learning workshops for women and youth. We offer a non-intimidating environment full of positive energy, friendly faces, encouraging words with lots of smiles and laughter! Participating in our events is a great way to forge new friendships, share similar interests and learn something new.
OWL's Mission
OWL's mission is to inform and encourage women of all ages to discover, enjoy, and appreciate the outdoors through sporting pursuits and tranquil observations.

Our Programs
We offer a variety of outdoor activities for which you may not otherwise be able to experience. Our events are open to all women and some events are open to teen ladies. Registration is required for all events. Use the Contact Us section below to be added to the mailing list so you will be the first to know! Or submit your questions, we are happy to provide a response.
OWL Fun Days
A Fun Day is a one day event that enables you to participate in a variety of activities. Fun Days are held in the spring and the fall in Taneytown, Maryland. It's a great way to try an activity or hone your skills. It will give you a taste of an OWL weekend.

Canoeing & Kayaking, Tubing, Blacksmithing, Wood Turning, Archery, Firearms, Tomahawks and Knife Throwing, Hiking, Outdoor Cooking, Stream & River Fishing, Fly Fishing & Tying, Chainsaws, Beekeeping, Hiking, Basket Weaving, Bird ID, Tree ID/Flora & Fauna ID, Turkey/Goose/Duck Calling, Gardening for Pollinators,

OWL June Weekend
Come for a day or the whole weekend! Our annual event is held at a beautiful farm in Frederick County Maryland and offers a variety of activities, great food, fellowship and lots of laughs! Check our Facebook for pictures from past events - we always have a great time, rain or shine!

Come join in the fun and camaraderie. It will be a blast!
Stay the weekend or join in for the day Friday or Saturday. You'll want to be around for the evening activities too.
Friday - Bear Presentation and Night Vision Experience
Saturday - Ladies Personal Safety Presentation.
